UN Postpones GHS Meeting

The UN has announced the postponement of the 49th session of the GHS Sub-Committee (ECOSOC Sub-Committee of Experts on the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling of Chemicals) scheduled for December 3-5, 2025. The documents on the agenda for the December meeting will be taken up in the July 8-10, 2026. The postponement was a result of budget limitations. 

There is a potential for an informal virtual meeting to be scheduled in January to take up urgent matters.

The 67th meeting of the TDG Sub-Committee is not affected by this postponement. 

DGAC will participate in these meetings as an observer in consultative status and will keep members informed as further information becomes available.
