GENEVA — A delegation from the Dangerous Goods Advisory Council attended the UN Sub-Committee of Experts on the TDG held in Geneva on
June 30-July 9, 2008. This was the third meeting of the biennium which will conclude in December 2008.

The delegation was made up of DGAC President Mike Morrissette, Andy Altemos of HMT Associates, Jay Johnson of Inmark, Inc.,
Ron Klein of DelValCo Consultants, Neil McCulloch of Labelmaster and Steve Schulte of Ecolab.

Items summarized in the report are of broad interest to the membership or issues raised by DGAC at this or past sessions. DGAC did not
submit any papers for this session. A complete summary of all matters discussed as well as draft amendments to the Model Regulations

Issues covered by the DGAC report include explosives, packaging and IBC requirements, limited quantities and consumer commodities
(including the new mark), packaging and IBC requirements, listing and classification, documentation, alignment of Class 8 with the
GHS, portable tanks, training provisions, transport provisions for gases, the cylinder incident in air transport, provisions for
batteries, electronic data interchange, genetically modified organisms, transport units under fumigation or containing refrigerants,
and GHS-related matters including desensitized explosives.
