HMT-130
Preparing Hazardous Materials for Transportation by Aircraft or Motor Vehicle, Initial Training – 4 days

Click here for a printable course description This introductory-level course covers basic skills needed to prepare, offer and accept shipments of hazardous materials by ground and air. HMT-130 combines two separate courses (HMT-100 and HMT-200) into a four-day session reducing training costs, travel expenses and time out of the office. Please be aware that the information is presented at a more demanding pace than the two individual courses.

Meets applicable requirements for initial and recurrent training.

Regulations Covered: US DOT HMR (49CFR) and IATA DGR
Prerequisite: None
Materials Provided: US DOT HMR (49CFR) and various handouts, ABC Textbook, compliance checklists. The IATA DGR will be provided for in-class use only. Students who wish to take home a copy of the IATA DGR may purchase it separately from us.
Class hours: 8AM - 5PM
Sign-in 7:30 - 8AM on the first day
Class ends at 3PM on the last day
Material Covered: DOT Authorization to Use the International Standards for Air Shipments within the United States

    Preparing Hazardous Materials for Transportation by Multiple Modes, Initial Training - 5 Days

    Preparing Hazardous Materials for Transportation by Multiple Modes, Recurrent Training - 2 Days

    Click here for a printable course description This course reviews the basic skills needed to prepare, offer and accept shipments of hazardous materials by ground, air and water. As an alternative to taking HMT-115, HMT-215 and HMT-315, HMT-155 reduces training costs, travel expenses and time away from the office. However, the information is presened at a more demanding pace than that of the three individual courses.

    Meets applicable requirements for recurrent training.

    Regulations Covered: US DOT HMR (49 CFR), IATA DGR, IMDG Code
    Prerequisite: HMT-150; or HMT-100, HMT-200 and HMT-300; or equivalent training
    Materials Provided: US DOT HMR (49 CFR), ABC Textbook, compliance checklist. The IMDG Code and IATA DGR will be provided for in-class use only. Students who wish to take home a copy of the IMDG Code and IATA DGR may purchase them seperately from us.
